Really practical inexpensive business accessories

Posted by

We are continually adding products to the close out section of the site. Lots of those items are things that help organize you whether you are in business or managing a busy home. I'd like to point out a few of them right now:

If you need to mark things like kids toys or furniture, the Dymo Embossing Label Express is a nice, hand-held label maker that let's you get that job done quickly. It can be used for hanging file holders as well because the label adhers to the top of the file, or the tag on the holder, and allows you to access information without going through everything folder by folder.  It's reduced to just $8.00, and you can always get the refill tapes. In fact, the tapes come in colors in case you need to separate thing that way. The refill number will be on the packaging.

Another useful product is the Rolodex Brown Pad Folio. We also have the City of Hope Pink pad folio. Both have paper, slots for cards, pen holders and more. They come in so handy when you're on the run. I use mine for notes on sales, products, groceries, and even snippets of books I want to write! The brown is $18.00 and the pink is $24.95, but that one has the added benefit of contributing to cancer research, so it justifies itself.

I love using the Eldon stacking file trays. I'm visual, so if I can see it, I will remember to do it. And...I have loads of projects going all the time, so having access to files is useful. If I put them in a nice file cabinet--and I have some beauties--I won't think about getting my work finished. File cabinets are for finished work. So the mesh trays are stacked all over my desks and cabinet tops so I can flag them. Seven dollars isn't a lot to pay for something that is metal, not plastic. They will last and last, and keep things picked up a little bit.

Ok, you will probably think the next thing is silly, but I keep rulers around the house and office because I am always measuring little distances. Product sizing and that extra inch needed so a bookcase will fit against a wall are important. For the low, low, incredibly low price of $0.17!!!!!! you can purchase one (or two or a dozen). They fit well in drawers, pencil cups, book shelves, toy chests, drawing pads and folios, or almost anywhere at all. I have regular industrial metal measuring tape, but it doesn't accommodate a large portion of the tasks  I'm faced with each week. And the best part? The rulers are clear; they go with everything!

If you have a bulletin board, or are someone who hangs things up with push pins or tacks, we have them cheap as well. I have been known to use push pins for tie backs on curtains in the kitchen. I hang up posters with them, and do my note posting with tacks and neon bright note paper. I even used them to put up a cloth banner I bought from a student on the wrestling team at the local high school.

And here's one for the ladies: It's really a business card holder, but you can put your drivers license, credit cards, small pictures of the kids and anything else like that and go jogging or to the dog park and not have to drag along a handbag. I just slip mine into a rear pocket or shirt pocket, and off I go. In the Texas heat, it makes quite a difference!

Take a look at the Close Out category and see what you can find. It's better than a big yard sale because everything is new, and the prices are waaaaaay down. Have fun!
