Quick-Flip Mechanical Pencil : A simple answer to a long asked question

Posted by

I like using mechanical pencils because I can get larger leads if needed. Thicker leads are nice and dark and they mean business. So do I...But what's been bothering me for sometime is the idea of someone designing a pencil with tons of lead and these little bitty erasers that are difficult to change out. And you end up throwing away half the eraser! Now someone (with a pretty good head on his or her shoulders) created a product with an eraser that flips about so you don't have to go searching through your drawers hoping to find an extra eraser right in the middle of creating who-knows-what.

These come in bright colors, so there's no mistaking them for a business tool--although people who just need to work, work, work will find themselves drawn to this item simply because of the ease of use. No hassle in the pencil is no hassle in the creative process.

It comes in a nice starter set--I don't know why they don't just call it something else, like a utility set or a time saver. Take a look at this:

You get four nice mechanical pencils with a pack of extra leads. And even better: two extra eraser flips come in the pack. I wonder if those small pieces of eraser that end up in the bottom of the container can be stacked and used. I am not above using a spot of glue to keep them together so I can use up most of the eraser surface!

Anyway, it's a good item to have around if you are always making notes, lists, reminders and all the other everyday tasks that are part of our lives. And...if you need to be spontaneously creative...voila! you have the means to do it. WRITE ON!
