It's summer and the kids are now home. Play dates abound. Sometimes electronic gear just doesn't fill up the day and you want something a little more creative and fun for the group. We have some simple ideas, and a bunch of items in the warehouse that have been waiting for kids to grab and go. If you get a couple of pads of newsprint, kids can draw freely and have fun making shapes or copying images of their favorite cartoon characters. There are also some wonderful beginner how-to-draw books at places like Barnes and Noble. I can personally draw a giraffe and a polar bear thanks to a kid draw book.
